My scale is being naughty, I have tried my usual trick and paid it, but it keeps refusing my money and refuses to move.

Can't work out why, especially as I haven't changed what I am eating, and the amount I am exercising, and don't appear according to the tape measure to of changed inches.

Most iritating.

Anyways could you all please shout at my scale and repeat after me

MOVE NOW LEA IS GETTING IRITATED BY YOU SO PLEASE MOVE AND MAKE HER SMILE!

nb: my name is pronouced Lee!

Oh Lea!
You just need to be firm...."bad scale, very, very bad scale....that is a NO NO...now...be good, okay?"
That is what I do when puppy gets into trouble, it usually makes him look very sorry and I feel better...

In all seriousness, Lea , I feel your pain. It happens to all of us at one time or another and it makes you want to throw the scale out the window!

Just keep doing what you're doing and don't get discouraged. You have lost an enormous amount of weight and should be very proud. 43# is the equivalent of a four year old child or a medium size dog!

Now... I think the scale needs a nice long "time out" You should just ignore it for a few days or a week. You've hit a plateau and the way to get past that is perseverence. In the scale vs. Lea battle you are winning!

(((hugs)))
Jess

I have tried to put the scale on 'the naughty step' but living in an apartment it isn't that easy, I have grounded it to the black hole that is the space under my bed, I guess it is being naughty and I have tried being firm iwth it, and it still wont listen.

Meh!

Lea,
I have felt this way before also, try changing up your excerise, that has worked for me. ( and put the scale away for a week) It was one of the hardest things I did, but it made a difference. I weight myself all the time, I think I have a problem.lol good luck

Something you might want to try is interval cardio training, it really works in giving your calorie burn a boost. Take whatever cardio you're into (treadmill, elliptical, gazelle, whatever) --and do 5 minute intervals of your regular speed, followed by a one-minute (increase this to 2 minutes after the first time you do this) burst of high intensity speed---you should NOT be able to carry on a conversation at this pace, but it's only for 1-2 minutes. Slow down below regular pace for 1-2 minutes to recover, then go back and repeat: 5 minutes normal pace, 2 minutes high-intensity, 2 minute slow pace recovery. It also makes the time go by so much faster!

The only cardio as such I am doing at moment is walking, just regular walking (due to still on going issues with my landlord and the gym in her building) and it is already 4.30pm and I am not allowed darn therapist setting rules etc, to go for walks on my own unless escential and urgent in the dark!

Hi, Lea! The scale moves a smaller amount as you become smaller. If a 300 pound man ate 1800 caloriesa day he might lose weight but not so for the lady who only weighs 140 pounds to begin with. Remember that you are becoming a tiny little thing.
Sometimes we just MUST put it away for a bit. PROMISE not to weigh again until Monday..
BAN THE SCALE! BAN THE SCALE!

BIG HUGS~
