Hi guys
Im going to start posting some of the things I have found out along the way on my diet that I felt helped me in some way and that I hope can help you also. Here are a few tips I picked up along the way about natural appetite suppresants:

Pine nuts: these release an appetite suppresant called cholecystokinin (hope I spelled that right!) sprinkle them on your salad or crush them into a pesto.

Green leaves: Cabbage, iceberg, romaine, spinach and other leafy greens are nearly calorie free as are cucumbers and celery..in ,most cases you burn them off by just digesting them.

Some like it Hot!: As in hot to the touch (tea and soup), according to studies, aromas released by hot food make you feel fuller faster by affecting the satiety centers of the brain. Yes there is no substitute for a lovely slice of cold pizza!! but pop it in the microwave and you'll probably eat less!

And the number one golden rule!!! "Dont drink calories"!!! save them for food.

I hope this help somewhat..I will post some more stuff soon

Those are some great tips. I especially like "don't drink calories - save them for food" because many people don't understand the impact of sodas and juices on their weight loss.

I'm glad to see you around and posting more. You are a great contributor lately.

You are SO right! Drink 2 of those 64 'ouncers' and you will have finshed off 1,600 calories! YIKES!
I like that you posted what you had learned along the way. I must agree! One of the 1st things I figured out, too, was that if I only had 1300-1400 calories, I didn't want to waste one calorie on simple sugars!
You Go, Girlfriend! You are looking great!

Are you still around? You had some great ideas and I wanted to bring the thread forward again so others could see them.

Pop in, Girl, and tell us how you are doing now.
