Does anyone feel like they are hungry alot of the time and can't seem to get full? I am pretty hungry of a evening and would love some help on something that would help me with this.

Have you been drinking LOTS of water? That always helps me...I have found that sometimes my brain confuses thirst for hunger, or maybe eat an orange or some other type of fiber-filled fruit (the fiber will make you feel full faster)...let me know if this works, or if you are already doing this... GOOD LUCK!! :-)

Part of loosing weight is sadly learning to feel satisfied after less foods, whilst before it may of taken a large spoon of something to fill that gap, we have to learn to use a slightly smaller spoon.

what sorts of things are you eating? stodgy foods will fill you temporarily but then leave you feeling hungry a while after, whereas crunchier chewier foods will keep hunger at bay for longer.

Does that make sense? - sorry if it doesn't Il try again at explaining.

Have an apple and some nuts like almonds. The unsaturated fat in the nuts isn't bad for you like saturated fat is, and it takes away hunger pangs. Also, like Brea said, drink lots of water. I've also noticed in the past that chewing gum can stop me from wanting food. Just make sure you chew sugar-free gum.

I drink at least 80-100ounces of water a day. When I am hungry instead of grabbing junk food, I have been eating apples or bananas. I will definitely try the nuts and sugar free gum. I knew it would be hard at first because your body has to get adjusted to less food but thought it would get better after first week. At night, to help I have been having the 100calorie snack bags of light microwave popcorn. Also, is a slice of bread not a good idea? Sometimes when I am doing housework of a morning and I get hungry I eat a slice of bread with a couple of glasses of water and that helps.

When I need to feel full I eat some good old fashioned Quaker Oats (in the cardboard cylinder container) It only takes a minute in the microwave. I add some sweet'n low and a little skim milk and it can be quite satisfying, especially at night.

I too get munchy at night. I have been saving my fruit for night and my favorite right now is fuji apples. They are very crisp and sweet. I get the crunch factor and the sweet taste. They also take awhile to chew to your body feels like you have eaten more. I have found that this takes the edge off. The water is great also.

Another trick I have been using is mixing in a fiber supplement into my night water. One, well is the obvious benefit, which as others on here can be a problem when dieting, and two, it really fills you up.

I have learned to eat a smaller snack and force myself to wait awhile instead of continuing to stuff my head. Usually I find that after a few minutes, I am not as hungry as I though I was.

Hope that helps.

I absolutely LOVE drinking Nestle low-carb, low calorie hot cocoa at 25 calories a cup. I always double the amount of chocolate but still only 50 calories and it takes a while to finish a hot drink. Seems by the end of it I am able to exert a measure of control over what I eat.
