Has anyone ever had numbness in their face after taking phen? Is this a side effect?

I have not had numbness in my face and I don't recall hearing about it being a side effect, not saying that it can't be but I just have not heard of it.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Jackson, so many drugs can cause problems like you describe. Low levels of vitamin B-12, using a nitrate drug for chest pain or heart problems, using medicines similar to alendronate can cause problems in the face. Symptoms include jaw pain, swelling, numbness, loose teeth, gum infection...Symptoms of strokes include: confusion, trouble speaking or understanding, trouble seeing in one or both eyes, numbness or weakness of face. Bell's palsy also comes to mind.

Any medication used in excess can have serious consequences. Even aan ntibiotic overdose can cause numbness in the face. So many drugs can cause numbness, especially in combination with each other. Write down every over the counter, vitamins and supplements you take and call your druggist or doctor and find the underlying cause of numbness. It should be identified and then treated. For example, if you have carpal tunnel syndrome certain exercises may be recommended.

If you have diabetes, you need to control your blood sugars. Medications that cause numbness or tingling may need to be switched or adjusted. DO NOT make any changes to your medications without instructions from your doctor.

BUT it very well could be a fluke! Google "drug interactions" and see what you can find out before you continue on the phentermine. Please let us know what you find out...PRONTO!

I was reading an article on less common side effects and it listed "call your doctor soon" and "call your Doctor immediately" categories. Numbness in the face was listed under "call soon". I don't think you should be alarmed, but I'd definately ask my PCP this week.. just to be safe.
