Jasmyn that is what I started doing also. Since I weigh a bit more, it was tough to begin with.

Interval training (what we've been doing) is supposed to pump up your workouts, decrease lactic acid buildup and help with increasing strength & quickness along with burn more fat! woohoo

So far it has worked and I have never lost so quickly or gained muscle definition so fast in my legs and even working off my "pudge"

I am going to go back to the 1/3 ratio when I can get to 4.0 running comfortably, that's supposed to be the ultimate workout.

How's it working for you?

I was surprised last night when I worked out that I could pretty easily maintain a 4.0 speed in the running phase of my workout. OF COURSE - dingbat me tried 4.3 and said ok I can do this and I am SO sore this morning I'm crying lol

4.0 was my goal for the end of May, but I am going to keep at 4.0 and no higher until the end of the month and just increase my time.

My ultimate goal in 3 months is to find a happy medium between 4.5 - 5.0 running for 20 min then walking for warm up, cool down 3 times a week. On the off days, burn extra calories I'll do the walking routine and some strength training.

I've been doing resistance bands a couple of times a week for 15 min or so also - which I'm going to do plus add in the 5 step dumbell workout on my step aerobic days.

I can't do step aerobics anymore :( I found I was having too many problems when I did the step; I have a separated pelvis that was crushed in a wreck 9 years ago, so that is going to take some time to work into.

I was pleasantly shocked when I went to my dr yesterday that I was down to 211.6 according to their scale. I lost 20.6 lbs for the month, which is 5.15 lbs per week.

My scale reads a couple of lbs higher and that was a boost for me too bust my butt the next few weeks and join all of you who are in "Onderland"!

I was shocked to say the least...I have eaten MORE than I ever have while taking Phen on this plan. 1200-1500 vs 800-900 previously, I make myself eat.

The only thoughts I have is my body's metoblism has kicked up alot with the eating plan and I feel alot more energy throughout the day so I am more active on top of exercising also?

I know my BMR is around 1700 cal per day.

So if I do housework, take care of business and family, I should be losing 500 cal per day.

Add exercise (300 cal per day), shopping (160 cal), and other activities add up.

For every 60min of light effort household chores burns 144 calories per hour for me, so that is an incentive to stay "active" and moving doing something.

I think it all really adds up to what I have heard over and over "calories in vs calories out", I wish I had not waited so many years to kick my butt in gear and get healthy :P

Hate to tell you that if you lose weight eating that way and then go off that plan and eat the cheeses, dairy products, breads.... you'll just gain it all back... just my experience....
