okay so my nutritionist tells me that I have to eat 75% Protein, 25% fiber. The problem is that I am Struggling to get 1000 calories in. In a normal day I try to eat good foods, and stay away from processed foods. Things I have been eating a lot of, Boiled egg whites, tuna, Chicken, Greens Salad, Fruits.
Everything I read tells me that I should be eating 1500-1650 calories a day, how alarmed should I be? Is it really something to be worried about if I am not hungry eating good for me foods and loosing weight?

WHOA, NELLIE! That's a LOT of protein and is not a sustainable ratio. Unless you have been put on a special diet for a couple of DAYS, please call them back to verify that.

Record your daily intake for 1 week. Count drinks, too. Lay off high cal sauces & try lemon, soy sauce or salsa.
Don't eat less than 1,000 cal or your body will lower your metabolism and slow your loss.

Be patient and it will pay off in consistent weight loss, more energy and fewer cravings.

Make sure meals have a healthy mix of nutrients. Fats & protein are slower to digest than carbs. Carbs digest in 2 hs, protein takes four hours to digest and fat takes up to six hours, which explains why people on low-carb diets have less hunger than those on low-fat diets. A balanced-nutrient plans=better hunger control.

I went back to the clinic today.They are all about the Low Carb high protein diet. The place is FULL of protein drinks, bars powders and food replacements. I am told that I should be eating a protein every 4 hours so to keep my metabolism going all day. Its a pain in the tail! They have a daily meal guide for a week I haven't followed too closely, I have been working on eating healthy foods, getting used to counting my calories and getting rid of my bad habits... PEPSI. As I get better with the lifestyle change I will try and be more specific for right now I am just worried about healthy.

i hear ya nymeg ive been on phentermine for 5 weeks and seriously the whole time ive havent eaten more then like 100 calories a day if that.i did lose 14lbs though.i just dont know what to do.i went shopping and got healthy stuff but i just cant eat.this last week im getting run down i duno what to do.and today i woke up and my whole body aches like i have the flu but i never get sick so i duno if its b/c i havent eaten for 5 wks.im lost u guys.i want to reach my goal 21 more lbs to lose.

are you on the pill or the capsule? Cause if you are on the pill you could half a does for a day to get some calories in. What I do know is that you have to get calories in to stimulate your metabolism. I have been using protein shakes in the morning to get my daily calories in. At my clinic they have stressed so much that the worst thing that you can do is not eat. It puts your body into starvation mode and then it will store anything you do put into your mouth, your body will start breaking down muscle to use for energy. Please start getting in some calories. Its really dangerous not to eat for so long.

the last week or 2 i have been splitting the pill up 2 times a day.i was getting the energy back but now im drained.like i said before i have flu like symptoms so i didnt take my pill today.i feel like crap.i know i need to eat but nothings good.im online trying to find some healthy recipes to make my family but im not really having any luck.

HI Ashley! I hope that you are starting to feel better by now!!!! With the recipes, I have found that if you take what your family likes to eat and modify it a little you can come up with some really great meals that are healthy for your family. Last night my husband was dying for some tacos, we got whole wheat tortillas, and used chicken,lettuce and tomatoes. Wasn't bad and husband was happy. we eat LOTS of chicken at my house so we have to come up with lots of ideas of how to cook it
