Hi, i see how everyone posts that doing a diet requires that you get all the right nutrients and eat atleast 1,500 calories to lose weight. However, i want to use tablets called one a day that gives these nutrients and then eat healthy food to make sure i don't get more than 1,500 calories. Is this a good idea? The supplement facts in one a day is... vitamin a 2500 iu, vitamin c 60 mg, vitamin d 400 iu, vitamin e 30 iu, vitamin k 80 mcg, thiamin b1 1.9 mg, riboflavin b2 2.1mg, niacin 25mg, folic acid 400 mcg, vitamin b12 7.5mcg, pantothenic acid 12.5, calcium (elemental) 200mg, iron 18mg, magnesium 50mg, zinc 15 mg, selenium 70 mcg and coppe and maganese2 mg.oh yea, it also has chromium 200 mcg, guarana blend 180mg and green tea/cayenne blend 10 mg

Plan to get 100% of your needs from foods, but take a multi vitamin like the one you take, just to make sure you've got all your bases covered!

One A Day Weight Smart Advanced.

Thanks Susan! However, do you think that using a multi-vitamin is bad or have negatice affects on a diet? I wanna lose atleast 96 pounds in 12 months and thats losing 2 pounds every week. I also want to do weights to help this and i know i have to let my muscles rest so i was thinking of concentrating on muscular exercise on one part of my body one day and another the next. I'm not sure what to eat either... That's why i wanna use One A Day and eat healthy foods.

Hi there! Well taking a multi vitamin is good...we all need those nutrients in our body. I take one everyday and also give the gummy ones to little girl. It helps our immune system and gives our body what it needs...and we both get sick less too. Good luck and keep us updated and welcome aboard!!

Here is some info I found online..I will copy and paste:

Does your multi-vitamin dissolve properly?

Some manufacturers claim that many brands of vitamin tablets are so hard that they go through the body undissolved, and quote nurses who find vitamin pills in the bedpans of their patients. While this can happen, here's a simple "acid test" you can apply to find out if your multi—or any other pill!—dissolves properly:

1. Place approximately one cup of white vinegar in a small bowl and warm it to 98 degrees or so by placing it inside a larger bowl of water that you "top up" several times with warm water from the tap. (The goal is to keep the vinegar reasonably close to 98 degrees for half an hour.)

2. Drop your multi-vitamin (or other pill) into the vinegar, and jostle it about every five minutes or so by gently shaking or swirling the cup. While you can also stir the mix with a wooden stick or toothpick, be careful not to touch the tablet itself.

3. The tablet should dissolve within 30 minutes. (This is the USP standard for all pharmaceutical tablets.) If it doesn't dissolve within a full hour, it's not doing you much good. Get another brand!
