Hi, Trisha and welcome!

If you are female of average height, you need a certain amount of calories to maintain your current weight. You should aim for about a 500 calorie a day deficit to lose one pound per week. Here are some guidlines to figure your BMI:

Hello there! Well I try and eat 1200-1500 calories a day..good luck and we are here for support!

Thanks for the response ladies. I've found that i can eat 1200-1500 a day as well and seem to do well with that. Im also taking fiber pills because im sure i dont get enough. Now if only they would make protein pills! LOL
