how many calories should you actually consume in a day on phen? im having one heck of a time eating. so im eating lighlty through the day. its 739pm and i havent even hit 1,000 calories yet.

all through the dya i have had 4 70 calorie meal replacent shakes 280 a can of mixed vegetables 160= 440 and a can of peaches 449 so im at like 889. i may have a couple of beers later so that will make it 1000. now i have lost 8.6 lbs since i keep fluctuating back and forth from 239.6 to 240.2 or something. nothing more seems like its coming off. am i not eating enough?

On average you should consume 1200 to 1500 calories per day for the best results. Too few and your body could have bad reactions like headaches or shakiness. Too many and you are defeating the purpose unless you are really doing major exercise.

One of the "bad" things about the phen is making it to where you don't feel like eating at all. Eventually this will ease up and it will be easier for you to consume the right amount of calories, but usually in the beginning it makes you really not want to eat at all, but you have to make yourself. And as you said, several smaller meals is better than a few larger ones. My nephew is a personal trainer and he explained it like this...picture your metabolism like a campfire, put too much wood on and it will smother the fire, put a piece on at a time through the day and it will burn great.

Hope this helps!

Have a great day!

Yep; you really lose out if you aren't altering your intake. 200 calories, 5-6 times a day, helps keep your hunger spikes more controllable.

Eat a form of protein at EACH of the 200 calorie mini-meals. A ballpark figure is 100 calories of proteins-milk, cheese, eggs, tuna, beans, chicken, beef and 100 calories of complex carbs and vegetables, vegetables, vegetables!

thanks guys!! my protein has been coming from my shakes. i really need to go grocery shopping, just been lazy, but really kinda dizzy, so i was letting my body get used to phen again. the shakes have 7 grams of protein which really have been stabilizing my blood sugars immensly. i will keep buying this stuff. its so nice to be able to eat light and not have a blood sugar attack. but then i have got rid of all the garbage, and that makes me wonder too, my food intake ha been mostly vegetables. i have no meet in the house right now. so a lot of fruits and veggies and the shakes. i did have 2 low fat waffles last night whole grain, i couldnt believe 2 of them had only 140 calories, and they were good, 0 calorie spray butter and some light syrup, that was my big splurge. so i think i hit 1000-1200 calories. when i cant hit i drink one of the low cal shakes it really helps out.
