As of today, I've lost 40 pounds!!

I want to share 2 things that have helped me the most:

1. A gallon of water is 128 oz. Each night I fill a gallon jug with fresh water and put it in the fridge. I don't use it for anything except drinking. I sip on ice cold water all day long. At the end of the day the jug is almost empty. I've come to love water and other than 2 cups of coffee in the morning I don't drink anything else.

2. There's a free website called FitDay and its wonderful. I used it in the beginning to help figure out calories but have found it invaluable for everything. It calculates nutritional value, calories burned, etc. I love looking at the weight charts and graphs to watch my progress.

It's taken 5-1/2 months. Sometimes I'll go 2 weeks without losing anything and just when I'm getting really discouraged, I'll drop a few pounds. I think it would have been faster if I had been exercising. I've made up my mind now to walk some everyday and just bought a treadmill. I'm hoping the last 20 lbs. (or most of it) will be gone by Christmas.

I used fitday.com when i was on Atkins it totals carbs, calories, fat good and bad..loved it..

This time around my doctor told me not to count calories as long as i only ate from the list she gave me...thats what i've been doing but i keep a journal too..

40 pounds wow!
