Hey everyone!
So Nov 4th, I am driving to Arizona with my bf. It's about a 25 hour drive...I am soo worried about my water intake...I don't wanna be stopping every 30-45 to pee! lol!
Also, my food..I'm gonna have to pack a cooler and stick some sandwiches and stuff in it. I have been doing pretty well on the weight loss, and now that's Im back on 30's I feel like my progress is going the way it was when I first started phen.
So I was wondering if you guys have any ideas of easy healthy snacks and meals to eat while on the road. Since I will be lacking a stove and microwave. I'm a bit nervous.

So far I have fruit, special K bars, nutri-grain bars, pretzels, nuts.

Thanks everyone who helps

Jenna

If you want to make sandwiches, it would be best to use things like fresh turkey from the deli on whole grain bread with maybe some tomato and lettuce. Keep it simple and maybe if your bf likes a little more "something" on his sandwich, throw in a bottle of light mayo or something like that to help.

Fresh fruit is a great way to snack without worry. And the healthy bars are a good one, too. Make sure the nuts are low in sodium and not the honey roasted or anything like that that would make them not so good for you. Not sure about the pretzels though.....

I love eating cereal without milk as a snack...Crispix and Chex and ones that have a good crunch to them that make me feel like I am really getting something "bad"! If you want to make sure you are getting the right portions, you might try bagging them up in baggies before hand, and then you know exactly what you are getting as far as calories go.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Patty! I started to portion out my snacks and stuff today. I got Fat free Pretzel Sticks from Target, it's 100 calories for 1oz which is about 48 pretzels. They are on the higher end of sodium, but it feels like Im eating a lot when I eat them. They always seem to fill me up! I was thinking too, if we stop at gas stations that are truck stops they will more then likely have a microwave and probably have healthy choice or lean cuisines or something. *crosses fingers* I'm going to bring one of my own and see how it goes.

Good idea! Most truck stops/gas stations have microwaves now...I know from experience because I drive a semi for the farm sometimes and have used them! lol! And most will have some more healthier choice snacks available also because it seems that more and more people are trying to go that route! Imagine that! lol!

You will be fine!! You are on the right track and have the determination to get it done!

That is a LONG drive! Eat half an apple, spread with a thin layer of peanut butter. Take a cheese stick to eat with half an orange. Always combine a protein source with what you eat.

I agree with Patty..I love to crunch cereals as snacks--I thought I was the only one who did that!
