Ok this is a new creation of mine.... I put all the ingredients into the computer and got all the nutritional info It's very yummy and it filled me right up.... good on protein and calcium!

1 Cup frozen whole strawberries (fresh would be better but I was out.. if you use fresh be sure to add a few ice cubes as I didn't need ice cubes since the strawberries were frozen)
1/2 Cup skim milk
4 Ozs fat free vanilla yogurt
1 tsp sugar or splenda (recipe includes calories and other info for sugar)
1 raw egg white (swear you don't taste it.... all protein)

Add everything to the blender... blend on high till all processed and pretty Then drizzle inside of tall glass with chocolate syrup... let it drip down the sides.. I used less than a tablespoon and it was awesome!!! Tasted like a real chocolate covered strawberry... turned into a smoothie!!!

Oh come on!!! Are you telling porkies?? A raw egg?? eewwww. I don't know about that one.

But I will give it a try... Can I use Nestle quick instead. I don't have any chocolate syrup and rather not keep any in the house --- as chocolate is my downfall so I normally do not have any on hand.

Sounds good. How many servings did it make??
A slimey egg white kinda grosses me out. What about some whey protein powder?

But now I feel like a whimp for not wanting to do the raw egg so I'll have to do it now. You've challenged me!

Wait til I tell Jay I drank a raw egg!

Sounds great - I'm going to try it.

I've been fixing another kind of smoothie that I'm really hooked on:

Large container (or several small) DANNON "light and fit" yogurt - strawberry or blueberry ( I like a combination)

Tropicana light Fruit Punch -in a carton near the OJ - enough to make it the desired consistency

Blend and serve!

An 8oz serving has about 60 calories and is VERY filling- full of protein and vitamins. Both the yogurt and the punch are sweetened with Splenda. The punch is all fruit juice and some preservatives. The yogurt is also 0 fat. You could add an egg for extra protein.

Definitely, some fresh or "fresh frozen" fruit would make it even better! Thanks for that suggestion - this is my first experience with smoothies. I never bothered with them because I thought they were so caloric, but when I saw the yogurt and juice with Splenda, I got inspired. Those 2 ingredients, along with frozen fruit, will keep a long time so I can purchase them and make the smoothies when I'm ready. Thanks, Kimberly!
