That sounds like the bachelor's lunch one of lecturer's was having the other day; a can of tuna straight out of the tin!

It sounds like you were on your own for that meal!! Steve makes such a fuss when I want to eat something quick and easy... you would think he was going to starve to death, if one of us does not spend at least an hour in the kitchen cooking something 'tasty'... so that is probably why he ends up doing most of the cooking! I mean he's good and all, but oh I feel like such an evil woman letting him do it all.... not!!!

Yeah, I'm having a totally indulgent day. Michael is working on website stuff and we are going out tomorrow night, so I stayed in and watched all of the chick flicks I could find. No cooking (I ate a few tostitos with some gouda cheese, a banana and some pistachios. I love doing that!!

9 and Joy and all the other pancake lovers- UNITE! Not only did I get MOTIVATED after reading about them, but I made a vegetable-packed, healthy tuna fish salad, baked banana bread and the batter for the pancakes, but I also made a fresh stawberry-fat free whipped cream dessert, baked sweet potatoes, and gluten free white bread AND gluten free breakfast grain, nut and fruit bread.....I really got on a rollllllll.

Gillian, I laughed so hard at the substitutions you made...that is EXACTLY what I do! I will try ours lter this morning!

Well, I didn't put on any weight after the enormous banana pancakes we had yesterday!

Joy I didn't have the heart to water them down, they looked so nice and thick and yummy, etc. I just figured if I had two thick ones instead of maybe several smaller ones....

I kind of subscribe the theory that you can enjoy what you want, you just have to compensate accordingly. If you want the pancakes for breakfast, you eat a lighter lunch or dinner or both. Keep things within the calorie limit and you are okay.
