I am liking this place more and more.

I really don't need to lose, just tone up. I am not sure how to do it with my spinal and pain issues though.

I used to wear a women's size 0 or 1, and have finally put on 25 pounds in the past two years and have a shape to me. How do I tone it?

You can tone your body with exercises like Pilates (I am using Pilate dvds and they are a big help! The exercises really firm your body) or Yoga. You can also try weights.

Anyway that's just my two cents!
