Go figure,

I was in cheerleading (the park district kind) when I was 10-12 years old. My knees, my ankles, and my wrists (with the exception of the wrist I broke when I was 6) have all hurt since then too.

:-D Thanks Strengthsports for your encouraging information! I will try adding the 10seconds,taking 10 from rest walk and hopefully get fitter!.I carry most of my weight in my legs, and have thick ankles. This makes jogging more a chore for me and doing my leg toning exercises to help.I love exercising just need to stop eating so much/junk.

do you mean tendinitis? Ive never heard of tendinidous. when you exercise your wrists they will usally hurt alot, normaly this is when your suppost to stop but I have found that in order to correct the core problem it's better to push through it and finish you wrist workour. there are 4 exercises that have worked well.
just some background I used to do kung fu at the temple and hand strenght was one of the most important muscles.
for grip strenght I would get a couple of Grasp Spring's or hand grip you can find then at a store or get them here. http://www.aiyafitness.com/htm-exerc...t-exercise.htm
I used thoes for when I was walking around and in school.
the next 3 are for your gym
the muscles are Brachioradialis, Wrist Flexors, and Wrist Extensors
here is a exercise directory that shows you what to do there.
http://www.exrx.net/Lists/ExList/ForeArmWt.html
click on the exercie to see how it's preformed, use the barbells.
for at home, find yourself a 2 inch wide tube put a hole in the center of it, next string a rope throught it and tie a weight to the end.

Magenta, there are no exercises or movements that "tone" you. The "toned" look is dietary induced. A circuit type resistance training program would help to increase heart rate thus increasing calorie expenditure (this is good for the fat burning potential).

Maymay, consult your physician about what limitations you have with lifting and physical activity and your condition.

I've been doing some of those strecthes and lots of ice and some heat. My wrist has felt a little better today. I went to the gym this morning and did some of those exercises with a 3 pound weight. I went swimming and moved it around a little bit and went in the spa and that helped a little bit. Thanks
