Hi guys I will be going on the walk for diabetes on October 22. The way it works is by sponsoring a walker. I thought that this would be a good cause and I could get some help from some of you out there who might have relatives or friends who have diabetes.

I will not be making any money for this for my self and please if you do decide to donate click on the link below to check out the cause.

This link will send you directly to my personal goal for the walk and you can make any donations here. There is also info about walks in other cities through out the US.

Thanks a bunch.

That is fantastic. Good for you! Normally I would be the first in line for you, but right now, every extra penny I have is going to the Presbyterian Children's Home. They have taken in my daughter since she is unable to live with us anymore. They don't charge for their services and since they will be providing all her care including counseling for the next 4 years I will be making monthly donations of as much as I can. Good luck to you. We'll be cheering you on.

Diabetes can be controlled with the help of regular exercises. It is an effective way to help control blood sugar levels in people having diabetes. Even a few modest walks a week can reduce the insulin needs of those with the disease, and a brisk, hour-long daily walk may even prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes.

I don't have diabetes but my mom does and she does control it with a healthy diet. she is not on insulin or anything like that. I am only doing this walk because I am participating with other people at my job and I thought it would be fun and a good cause.
