The best combo to lose weight is gym/diet/ phentermine. Working out speeds up the process of taking the weight off quickly. The only problem I have is that there at times at the gym that I feel as if I am about to have a panic attack.... I have had a couple in my life, and the gym is the last place I want to be whisked away from in an ambulance. I just have to talk myself out of it, and slow down my workout.

Is it the thought of people watching you while you do the cardio or is it more of you doing the cardio?

Do you try headphones and some music to try to drown out your surrounding and relax?
Maybe even a motivational speaking type cd instead of music, some positive sermon or other seminar type event on audio.
Just an idea, there is a lot of control and power in mind over matter. My mom has panic attacks sometimes and has managed not to have one for a few years now.

I know this is an old thread but who said gym/diet/phentermine is the best combo to lose weight?
Nix out the 'gym' part and replace it with exercise! So what if you're not comfortable in a gym. Get your workout clothes on and take it outside. Do a video. Consider buying some home equipment. In the long run the best combo is anything that works. The weight loss fairy doesn't care if you burn those calories/fat at a gym, on the street, or in the bed. It all equals to calories/fat burned!
