One more week and I will have completed my third month of frequent exercise. I must say that I really enjoy it. I started with one hour a day - 3 days a week, quickly decided that 4 days would be better and since new years I have been going for an hour a day - 5 days a week. I don't go on the weekends but I do try to be active and do something at least one day on the weekend (ie gardening, dancing, walking). I really think I will stick with it because I just enjoy it so much. I have an addictive personality and I am definitely getting addicted to the gym! I would go on the weekends too but my husband won't have that.
When I started this I had a 3 month old boy and a 3 year old boy, and getting a break from them was my motivator. Being a stay at home mom was so easy with one, but with 2 kids it has taken some adjusting. I weighed 141 at the start (November 1st), and weighed the same until I weaned the baby at christmas. I lost about 5 pounds from weaning, which is normal, and have lost a few since then (on my first 3 days on Phen). Since 1/10/06, my weight has been basically the same. It goes from 131 to 133 and back down again, and I am pretty sure that's just water weight fluctuation.
I get 1/2 hour of cardio daily, plus I always do abs too. I also add in whatever sounds fun... lunges and squats, weight machines, whatever. I like a little variety.
I am still about 12 pounds from my goal weight (although I am considering changing my goal weight from 120 to 125, due to the muscle I'm building, which would put me just 7 pounds from my goal). I guess my REAL goal is to wear a bikini on our 4th of July vacation and not feel ashamed of my body. I have not felt good about it since before my first son was born. My biggest problem area is my stomach.
I guess the Phen isn't working for me anymore. I would love to work out more but I will have to convince my work out buddy to go for it... she used to help motivate me but now she is always wanting to go home! I don't want to burn her out but I don't think I will lose any more unless I kick it into high gear. She says that no one we know goes to the gym 5 days a week. I say that I don't want to be like them!
I am really in need of advice. Sorry for the long post... the question is, does anyone have advice on how to start losing again?
I need a new plan and any input is appreciated!
