I am clueless at the gym :???:

I do 30 minutes on the epilleptical and then maybe another 30 on the treadmill. Since I started Phen a week ago I haven't been to the gym for a single day due to bad weather. My biggest problem is getting out of my house so I keep on making these excuses.

I don't expect to have lost much. But next week I will start. I'm just a little afraid b/c my heart beat is much faster now - even by going up some stairs. Another nasty side effect is not being able to sleep at all and having the sensation that I have a pill stuck in my throat. That just makes me drink more water though. Has this happened to anyone?

... I need help with an exercise routine. Or should I stick to the one I have an do it longer?

Thanks

Just taking a walk is good exercise. I take walks around my apartment
complex, but that's kindof boring, so I usually go to the park and walk
or run there.

Jessie, you don't need to worry too much about an exercise routine
at this point. We need to get your body properly fueled before you
start working out. So, your first step right now can be to start eating
healthy foods in small portions 4-6 times a day.

Are you breaking a sweat at the end of your exercise sessions? Perhaps you need to up the level you exervise at. I go for a 25 minute run most mornings - I know I have worked my ass off if at the end of my run I feel:
a) ready to colapse
b) cannot hold a conversation due to heavy breathing
c) dripping sweat
d) have the euphoric rush where I have gone all lightheaded

I always do stretches at the end to cool down.

Sometimes when I really don't feel like going for a run, I will make myself go, but allow myself just a relaxed job, returning without the above results, but feeling better for it. I try to go hard at least 3 times a week.

Same with and weight/resistance training - try increasing the intensity or increasing the pace (do the reps in less time but with same controlled movement) - so you are sweating by the end of your session.

As long as you don't have any cardiovascular abnormalities, an elevated heartrate is not something to fear necessarily. Your maximum heart rate can be calculated like this: 220-age. That's it. If you wear a heart rate monitor, never let it exceed this calculated number. Work out in a range between 55% to 85% of your maximum heart rate. I would start reading up on how to lift weights. In my opinion, lifting weights is better for us than getting on a treadmill for 30 minutes. For one, the 30 minutes of cardio will only keep your metabolism elevated for about 45 minutes after your done while lifting weights will boost your metabolism for over a day. Good luck!
