I had gotten a treadmill last month. I started the first week walking 20 min...not much at all. Then I stopped for a week. Then for 1 1/2 weeks I was doing 3 miles a night. *sighs* then I got tired. I don't think I am eating enough- I don't count calories- but well..here is an example of what I ate today. Breakfast- 1 piece of taost with little butter, lunch- an orange, dinner- 1/4c of honey roasted peanuts and 1/2c of manderin oranges. I want to walk again- because I have hit that point where the weight loss has slowed down, and I need to kick up MY end of the work instead of relying on the pill...but just no energy.
I am having to make myself eat that, so I don't know how I can make myself eat more then that- but I do know that I want to have enough energy that I can excersize and not see white spots everytime I stand up or changs position fast.
SO- should I just try for a little excersize and not push myself as hard as I was the week I was doing 3 miles every night? Or should I try to keep that as my goal- and somehow...eat more?

You most certainly need to eat more. From the sounds of it right now you are getting NO protein what-so-ever. The nuts you are getting some, but not enough to keep you going. Try eating a bit of protein w/ every meal. And, try try try to eat a bit more often. Believe it or not that does help. Even if it's just a tiny bit, it helps to speed up your metabolism, and it will give you the energy you need. Working out is a must when taking the Phentermine, but right now you aren't eating enough to give yourself the energy to workout.
You should try and start keeping a diary of what you are eating, and the amount of calories you are taking in. Right now you aren't taking in enough calories to keep your body going. Before long, ifyou aren't allready, your body will start going into starvation mode. That is not a good thing. It's best to eat more than 1200 calories a day. But try to never go under 1000, which from the sounds of it, right now you are. Try going to www.fitday.com, there you can log in your daily food intake which totals up the calories you are eating. That way you know exactly what you are taking in, and how much more you need to be eating. Please try and eat more and better, and please please, keep us posted on how you are doing.

Ok- so I am having a mentally exhausting battle. For the past 2 days, I have not been on phentermine....still trying to set up an appt with my dr before the 18th to get refill- but keep running into conflicting times :(
Having only been on phentermine for a month, I am afraid that I will go back to munching, eating a lot and gaining weight back before I can get the refill. I have tried eating a little bit more the past 2 days because I do not want my body to go into starvation mode. But then I feel guilty.
Am I eating too much, am I eating enough...ahhhhh. I have been reading, and I have heard a lot of you say that you should eat 3 small meals and 2-3 small (of course all healthy) snacks a day. That just seems so hard! I am not one to count caleries....for one, where I work they supply the lunch- so there is no way to know what the calories are there.
I did excersize last night, which did feel good that I had the energy to do it. I am just afraid that, since I am eating a little bit more- that if I don't excersize I am hurting my goals. Sometimes- I think I think too much.

You HAVE to fuel your body to workout! Eat something about 1-2 hours before with carbs and that should give you some energy

I've tried eating like that, and after a while I got too tired to do anything, much less exercise. But, even more important for weight loss and health, the body hs to have something to burn.
I've had to accept that from trial and error. You can get faint, dizzy, even really sick on such a small amount of food. It doesn't take that much, count calories if you have to, but make sure you eat the amout suggested. I used to play games like ok if 1100 calories will make me lose weight, then I'll eat 800. It only works for a little while.
Best of luck.

You have to eat more than that. First of all, your calories have mainly come from fructose in the fruit which hit the bloodstream in about 7 minutes max and are quickly burnt off which is why we feel so lethargic after a sugar buzz. Secondly, like Amanda says, you need protein. Without protein, your body cannot synthesize muscle tissue that helps to keep pesky body fat away or enzymes or even insulin for that matter since they are all relient upon adequate protein consumption. Maybe about 20-30% of your calories should come from protein while carbohydrates should constitute maybe about 60% with the rest coming from fat. The goal is to have healthy food like fresh fruit, vegetable sticks, nuts, and sliced turkey or chicken, or tuna on hand so that you can graze throughout the day. By doing so, you don't have to worry about cooking and all the pot scrubbing afterwards and you will be keeping your meatbolic "engine" revved up. Sometimes eating more means losing more. Let me know if this helps. Good luck!
