I dont really know about all this exercise stuff. I do exercise but I don't really know how many calories you are suppose to burn a day. This is what I have done so far this week. I do cardio Mon, Wed, Fri. Calories burned so far this week:2112 Mins:240. Let me know if this is good or do I need to do more. I still have Friday to go.

Malisa,

Keep up the good work. Just in case you didn't know, a pound of body fat equals 3500 calories. So even if you wisely cut back 500 calories a day AND bust you butt like you've been doing, the weight will be gone in no time! Just make sure you eat small nutritionally balanced meals throughout the day so that you don't deprive yourself and make the weight loss harder than it needs to be. Good luck and keep kicking tail!

malisa, over at fitday.com, they have a daily activities chart where you can type in whatever activities you are doing for how long, and it will calculate up how many calories you burn each day.

I just do the math of calories in, minus calories out, and that is my 'caloric deficit' or calories burned off each day.

It is extremely important that while we are taking in quite a bit fewer calories than we are using up, to make sure we get enough protein in the diet so that the body will burn up its fat and not its muscle. I use protein powder.
