I have taken phentermine and xanex for sleep. I have used this combo about 2x a year for the last few years.
Does anyone have any other suggestion. Because i cant fall asleep without an aid!
Thanks

I use melatonin 3mg, it is natural and very inexpensive. It works well and no residual effect in the morning. I take it about 30 minutes before going to bed.

Hi, YoYo. I agree with Mommytocody. Melatonin, taken a few minutes before bed, does the trick for most of us without side effects.
It's hard to get off the Xanax once you start it, so do your level best to nip that little buggar in the bud ASAP. Did I understand you to say you take them both for sleep?

Ideally, take Phentermine an hour before breakfast and Melatonin, 3 mg., 5 minutes before bedtime.

I've used the melatonin with great results. Though do make sure you are ready for bed and headed that direction before you take it.

This is a topic I was happy to see. I've been doing the same...grabbing some aid for sleeping. My doc asked me twice about that, last appointment. I shrugged it off. On our health plan Ambien costs becoup out of pocket, and even the new one doesn't work too well, unless you are only looking for a few hours sleep. Hubby is retired and we are on weird hours. Not a problem if I take phen early in the day.

Melatonin worked great for me when I was working. Took it right before bed as the other members have suggested. But I was pretty tired at the end of the day. Now my lifestyle isn't as demanding...so I wondered if it would work for me. I think I'll try it again.

Has anyone tried Relacore PM? Relacore is supposed to be a happy pill, and a tummy fat pill on top of that, and now the PM helps you sleep. Its kind of pricey, but I wonder if does all those majic tricks?

I had taken Ambien about 4 years ago for 6 months. Well a Phy. Assistant saw me at an office visit. To the point she asked me if I needed to get to sleep or to stay a sleep. Me like an A__hole said to stay asleep. (stupid). So She said we'll just stop this now since you can get to sleep. I should have answered the truth. Well after my last Ambien I could not get a good sleep for over 2 months. I would toss turn everything it was horrible. I prayed for a night sleep where you just cuddle up and your in dream land.
Three months at the next appointment I told the Dr. and she said that she should not have done that to me. Nights finally got better after that.

Your doc was so right! Ambien actually changed their formula to slow release because it wasn't doing as promised. My hubby worked swing shift, as a boss. His sleep cycle was pretty screwed up after years of working some days, and then, some nights...he was prescribed Ambien, and noticed that he always woke up after a few hours...he tried the new Ambien with the same results.

I do have a problem sleeping wah
