You're right...I imagine that if you were a gymnast and can still do the splits easily that a pilates class wouldn't do much. I do understand that when you don't sweat a lot then you don't feel like you're working out. I feel betetr if I sweat a lot. When I walk/run on the treadmill it doesn't kick my butt like my kickboxing workout does....and I feel like I did SO more more when I kickbox.

SOrry I wasn't much help!

Blessings,
Rene

I have never done any kind of exercise other than walking and ,years ago, jogging. But I'm going to start yoga in the fall. I hope to walk 5x a week, yoga 3x a week and no exercise 2x a week ( I'll walk and yoga on the same day 2x weekly).

I've NEVER heard anything negative about yoga. And one good thing about it is that it appears to be addictive - people crave to do it - craving to do something healthy - dig that!

I know you don't usually sweat in yoga ( that's why I'll also power walk) but I understand that the strength training and balance development are excellent in addition to the meditative qualities.

I don't have a weight loss journal, but I might start a yoga journal, because I'm very curious.

Nylon, have you tried yoga?
