SO I am limited on what I can do to excersise so tonight I turned on the tunes, danced around with my daughter. Threw her up in the air a million times, did sit ups with her on my tummy and then added some push up, scissor type things. All in all I worked out for 30 minutes and had a blast doing it Now I dont feel guilty about not spending that 30 minutes with her

I think that is fabulous!! I've seen custom work-outs for mommy's with their babies.. people go & pay these personal trainers to do just what you did on your own!! Good for you!!

Oh geesh..I can imagine.. hee hee.. She looks like a little peanut but when you're "pumping iron" with her, you must get a great workout!

It's a great way to get exercise and loving time with your child.... I have done this as well. My Katelin loves to fly like superman on my feet and I do that with her alot.... it's a thigh workout for sure.... I fly her as far over my head as I can almost touching her to the ground... talk about sore the next day. lol

Another great way to include your daughter is jogging/speed walking (which also sets up your daughter to be exposed to physical activity and instills good, healthy habits.) My daughter now takes her stroller with her dolly and jogs up and down the house imitating me even with the heavy breathing .. I don't know if you have a jogging stroller but if you don't and if you can try and get one. I didn't want to spend hundred of dollars because we are not done with having little ones yet (so I will have to end up buying a double jogging stroller) anyway this is the one I purchased back in March.

Schwinn Pink Hope Jogging Stroller 13-SCHOPE I used this site. I think it came to about $150 with shipping/handling.

I did hours of research (on runner sites, consumer reports, etc.) on this and this was the best bang for your buck. You can spend $600+ for Phil and Ted's or the "Real Jogger" but because I know I am going to scrap this come next year I didn't want to spend that kind of money yet.

Anyway I go out every day with Hunter and do 4 miles of jogging and speedwalking up and down hills. She weighs 25 lbs. and the stroller I think weighs about 15 (??) so that is about 40 lbs. I push up and down hills...I give her snacks so she doesn't get bored, a radio and her lovies and we're good to go...SO you not only have your cardio but you also have a lot of resistance with the added weight and can gradually move up as your daughter gains..plus your outside in the fresh air.. She even naps in it from time-to-time.

The wheels are fixed. I do not advise getting wheels that you can fix and unfix as there is a huge safety factor. If you are really going to jog fixed wheels (no smaller than 16' wheels either) are the best and safest but if you're just planning on doing speed walking and taking it to the mall as well then I would suggest the swivel type joggers and 12" inch wheels would do just fine.
