I was so motivated to get started with a new exercise regime....But, Thursday night, (like a big dummy) I caught my foot under an area rug and wiped out, did a total faceplant and landed on my left shoulder! OUCH!!! To say it really hurt would be an understatement. The next day after work, I actually went to get an x-ray, and I don't have health insurance, so I shudder to think how much it will cost! So anyway, I was planning on joining the local Curves, and I guess that'll have to be put on hold for now. Bummer, cause I was looking forward to it! I guess I will have to stick with walking on the golf course with my dogs for now....I'd love to cross-country ski with them, but alas, that would hurt ALOT!!!!

So, I wonder, does anyone have any other exercises that don't involve the upper body? I feel so silly that I did this. But, I guess I should just be happy no-one witnessed it!

Big time ouch forsure !!! I'm sorry to hear that. I would say water aerobic's and walking foresure. you can still join the gym but just work your lower body like on the treadmill or leg lifts. low impact aerobics but just use your legs and no arm movements. I hope other's will chime in. ttyl c.c.

How about joining a gym and using their reclining stationary bikes? You can burn some serious calories without using your upper body at all. Good luck!
