I have it. It doubles as a scale and focus more on the asian style exercise of balance. As far as enough goes, i don't think so. It's one of those things that you have to make it like a side exercise. It has aerobics, strength, yoga and balance and it makes you do all the exercises with good balance and posture and if you do it wrong, it lets you know. EA Sports Active is much better and it will train you well.

There is a new Wii "game" called EA Sports Active that they are saying is better than the Wii Fit. It doesn't require the board, and is less expensive. It offers a leg strap so the personal trainer knows how you are doing, and also resistance band. You can program it to whatever type of exercise program you wish to do, whether it be cardio, or whatever. So far I love it! There are a lot of different options and I think that it allows me to work around my bad knees also. It is kind of fun. Even my kids have tried it. I really like the volleyball one too! It just came out and the cost was about $60.00. The Wii Fit system runs closer to $90.00. Maybe you could check this out instead. I know the reviews for it were excellant.

Amazon are selling a great game for the DS called My Weight Loss Coach.

"My Weight Loss Coach DS is a game for every adult, male and female who considers reaching and maintaining their target weight as a challenge. A program that fits your own objectives and respects your daily life constraints, My Weight Loss Coach supports you and tracks your progress and achievements by improving your energy balance. Developed in conjunction with a nutritionist, it helps you take control of your weight efficiently and feel better. Via an exclusive pedometer (included free with the game), you will be able to measure your real physical activity level and balance it following the advice of a fitness coach. Your motivation will increase with coaching sessions, daily challenges, mini-games and quizzes, play for only 10 to 15 minutes per day and you will feel the difference.

Personal Profiles: Create your personal profile and evaluate your improvement potential, then set up your objectives following the recommendations based on your personal profile

Input Reward System: Log your progress on a daily or weekly basis, tracking your physical activity and nutrition habits

The Pedometer: A peripheral device that comes with the game and can be easily updated through your DS, it’s the best way to control your daily physical effort, challenge yourself and balance your food intake

Real-Life Landmark Checkpoints: As a reward, all the physical activities you achieve and good nutrition habits you acquire are converted into measurable distances based on real examples"

Wii Fit is awsome! if you do it right. Aerobics is the best!!! you can run! do steps, and many more and wii fit games are all good too. I sweat when I do aerobics for 30min.
Did i mention i have bad back and foot so it is low impact but you can try high impact.

I have the Wii Fit and the Wii EA Sports Active Personal Trainer program & love them both. I used to train with a girl through her "Baby Boot Camp" business and the Wii Active Personal Trainer was comparable to working out with her. I highly recommend it. Wii Fit is also great, but I feel the Active Trainer kicks your butt a little harder. You don't need the Wii Fit board for the Trainer program, but you're better off if you have it because it adds to the program.
