Way to go, mzcris!!! I agree 100% about putting yourself first for a change....my hubby keeps telling me that I am fine the way I am and he doesn't think I need to lose anymore...I keep telling him that I am not doing it for him, I'm doing it for ME and I will let him know when I am done! lol!! Putting ourselves first on this occasion is actually putting our loved ones first in the long run. Why? Because by getting healthier we are increasing our chances of living a longer life....therefore more time with our family!!! So if you ever feel guilty about taking this time to do this for yourself, realize that the benefits are far more than just for you!!

And I sure do wish I could take the credit for coming up with the challenge idea, actually, Carol, or nygrlathrt, thought of the idea...I just ran with it!! And I am like you, I am so glad she thought of it, too!! It has really made me get back into the groove and put my loss back in the spotlight!!

Patty I luv your positive attitude! You are right we are doing it for US! My hubby tells me the same thing; but like I told him I have to be happy with the way I look

Looks like we are all getting off our butts and doing something everyday...

Today i went to park w/my sister and we did a fast paced walk for 30 min..i sweated alot hopefully a pound off

I also did the pilates ropes only 8 min. tho..between break at my job (Im a sales rep at home for HSN)anyway

I got the ropes online from everlast....they are called pilates door knob rope exerciser i paid 15.53 .

you attached to handle of door and put a mat down lie on floor attache ropes to one foot then the other and hold on to the other two ropes and you use your own weight to pull your legs up i do 30 reps of each leg straight then i bend for another 30 then i do elbow to knee for another 30 reps then i go on left side and do 50 lifts bent leg and foot bent then another 50 straight leg toes pointed and go on other side..doesn't take long but it does wonders for the abs and hip area..im very hippy....lost 4 inches since dr. measured me 8/26th

The pilates rope sounds interesting!! Might have to check that out!!

I am planning on walking this evening while the twins are in their Brownie meeting...maybe I can talk a few other mom's into walking with me on the nights they have meetings and the weather is nice. Our little town is a great place to stroll through!!

I am 5'5".....okay, okay 5'4 1/2"

I will even add to this and say that I am 43 (almost 44) years old. I used to hate telling people how old I am, but I've come to the realization that it only makes a difference what the actual years are in your mind if you let it....in other words, my kids are keeping me young!! (well, most of the time...some days they make me feel ancient!)

Happy early birthday, jenna!!!

I don't feel so short anymore!! I think I am the shortest one in my family, except for my kids! lol!! But even my oldest son is just a hair shorter than I am...all my sisters are taller, and their hubbies are taller still! And the kids all think it's fun to outgrow Aunt Patty, but I always tell them that it's no big deal since I am so much shorter than everyone else! Even my hubby is 6'4"!! And my niece and nephews are all 6'0" and taller!! I'm the munchkin of the family I guess. Oh wait....except for my 97 almost 98 year old grandma....she is only 5'0"!!
