I started phentermine 10 days ago. I take one pill in the morning every other day. I went from 281 to 271 during this time period. I am elated. I have been thinking about gastric bypass for the last 2 years. I am not surgically inclined. I want to work the weight off. At the age of 21 I weighed in at 148 lbs. Now, after a ten year, unhappy marriage, two children, and the daily grind of teaching 12th grade English, I find myself extremely overweight. Too depressing---

I have been exercising regularly and meditating to help me become a healthier eater and a lover of physical movement; however, I know that I need some help. I think I have found that help with this product. Because I have seen some progress, I know that I am more inclined to exercise, move around, and enjoy going out. Please send me messages of hope. For my health and for my mental well-being I must feel better about my physical appearance and the fact that the weight can cause or bring about many diseases.

Luckily, I do not have high blood pressure, diabetes, or any of the other biggies that come along with high weight gain.

I want your help. Keep me posted.

Ann,

I'm very glad to have you aboard our weight loss forum. Your post above
is great and touching. It makes me happy to read that you want to work
for your weight loss, and want to become a lover of exercise and movement.

I'm sorry you've met such obstacles as the daily stress of teaching others,
and an unhappy marriage. Well, from what I've read in your introduction,
you are going to make it through this!

Is there any way I could be of service? Do you need help with choosing
better foods or anything like that?

Let me know! Welcome to the forum. :-D

Hello Ann!! Welcome to the boards! Your story sounds familiar. I too found myself in my thirties being morbidly obese and trying to change my life. It is not easy but this place is great for information and support. Congrats on losing the first ten pounds. You are on your way!! Keep up the good work!

Welcome! I am also in a similar place. I am 31 and was recently told by my doctor that I am morbidly obese. That was really an eye opener and I want to lose, lose lose!

This is a wonderful place to get support. It sounds like you have a plan on how to lose the weight. That is GREAT! Keep us up to date on your progress and let us know if you have any questions! :-D

annann,
How are things going for you? Are you still losing? Are you feeling ok on the phen?

I have thought of gastric in the past too, but I too do not want to take the surgical route.

Are you exercise and changing your eating habit?

I hope you will check in with us.
