Hi. I had a doctor's appt today that I know is about to change my life.
I have never been so overweight before, not even this heavy at my full term of three pregnancies.
I am 5'5", 197lbs!
I am wearing a size 16 and that is sort of feeling snug.
The doctor prescribed phentermine (37.5mg) for me...I am going to start tomorrow 9/10/05.
I AM VERY NERVOUS, I feel so confused about whether or not this is a drastic measure and reading the different messages on this forum made me feel like I am not alone! I hope to send a before pic..I won't be embarrassed...it is important to show where I am coming from and then hopefully be able to show what I've achieved. I look forward to it.

and fixed it for you.

From what you've told us, I can say that you definitely aren't

Hi CN, believe me you are not alone. We have all had that feeling hit us at one time or another. One day you suddenly ask yourself how did this happen? When did this happen? We are all in the same boat. Luckily this boat has oars and when you join a group like this you get the support you need to have a motor on your boat. We are all boating our way to that beautiful island and when we get there we can all feel good about how we look and feel. Good luck, and whenever you need a lift or you feel yourself slipping come visit us here instead of visiting the kitchen!!

It looks like we have similar goals. I do hope you get to use this forum as much as you can. I have found it to be very helpful to at least keep track of what you are doing and have someone to tell you are doing great.

Although I find great support from my husband I still find it that here I can talk about how I'm feeling with the medication and have some answers from people who are doing the same.
