There are a lot of postings that give you some ideas on where to buy it. I personally got it at sisterspharmacy.com but read the threads and see which one you might prefer to use.

I get my perscription from my doctor. It seems to be much cheaper that ordering from the internet. I got 30mg of Phentermine for $37 for one month. I thought that was expensive until I saw how much other people are paying for thiers off of the internet.
It may depend on how much you weigh in order for your doctor to give it to you. I am 5'4" and weighed 178lbs when she gave them to me. That was 13 days ago and I'm down to 170lbs now!! That's almost 10lbs in two weeks. The pills really helped me realize that I didn't need all of the food that I was eating.
It seems like there is a lot of differnet kinds of Phentermine pills out there. A lot of wiered side effects happen with different ones. The yellow capsules are what I am using and they seem to be ok. The majority of my side effects went away after the first week. I only have blurred vision and trouble taking deep breaths. These really aren't a big deal, just noticible. But if you read through some of the old logging that people have done, some of the side effects are really scary. Be careful with what you order off of the internet.
What is your height and weight?

I just found this site and I am real excited about some ideas for help in losing weight. At one point in my life I was too skinny and now it seems since I have passed 40 it has all been up hill on the scale. I live in a small town in Missouri and care for my husband who is totally bedfast from a stroke and run a small business. My life is re-active as opposed to pro-active so it is hard to plan meals or anything else. My husband's care is my highest priority but I would like to lose weight to better function in all my duties. I need to lose about 55 pounds.

Wow, I'm sorry about your husband's health problems, but you are obviously a wonderful wife. I'm not sure what to tell you about how to plan this, because obviously you don't live the kind of lifestyle that you can say, at this time I will workout, at this time I will eat...... Basically, I would say just make sure that everything in your house is healthy foods, that way you won't be tempted to grab something unhealthy because it's quick. One thing that I do, is buy a large package of boneless chicken breasts. I cook them all with just basic seasoning, garlic, pepper, little salt. Then I freeze them individually. I keep a couple in the fridge. Once cooked they will last in the fridge for 5-7 days. That way, it's healthy, and I can just make something quick, even if it's just a sandwich. Keep plenty of fresh fruits and veggies on hand. As far as excercise is concerned I have the feeling you get quite a bit already, but you can always get a video to workout to at home. I use Richard Simmons videos. I'm not in shape to do "serious workouts" but Richard Simmons are great. They will definitely give you a workout, but not kill you. Most of them are an hour long, and you can just pop it in when you have a little time. Also, do you have someone who could come over 3 times a week for an hour or so? Curves for Women has an excellent program. 3 times a week, and the entire workout is only 30 minutes long. Nice thing about something like that is it gives you your workout, and a short break a few days a week, something I'm sure that is much needed. You may feel guilty about leaving your husband home to go do this, but like you said you want to get in shape so you can do better at taking care of him. It starts with taking care of you. I'm sure you could probably do with a little "stress relief" time. Just some ideas for you to think about. Hope it helps a little. Good luck and I want you to know that I admire you and your strength. I know that you will find something that will work well for you.

I'm sorry to hear about your husband. How long since he had a stroke? My grandmother has had 3 but has been able to recover. The last time she went to an accuputurist to recover her balance and ability to walk even if it is slow. Have you tried any alternative medicine. I know a lot of people don't believe in it but sometimes it works. I hope you find the support you need here with more than your weight loss.
