Ok..number one..Im still hungry after one week..I take 37.5mg a day. number 2...despite being tempted this week on 4 occasions to eat the forbidden..I managed to be good..infact excellent. What am I doing wrong? Slim fast shakes..tons of fruit and veg..healthy meals....Im at a loss..maybey the Phen isnt working for me. I dont seem to have any side effects either, no dry mouth etc.. Well time to go retrieve the bathroom scales that I have just thrown out the window..the neigbours now think Im a ding dong...oh well. Never say die!

OK so inform me again about what all you are doing. What kind of exercise are you doing? And how much water and all that? I know you mentioned the Slim-Fast things. Well, when I first started I drank those too, and they do NOTHING for you. You are staying hungry because you aren't eating enough when you drink one of those. Your tummy hasn't had time to start shrinking much yet, so when you drink one of those shakes, it just not getting the job done.
Also, are you taking a whole pill at once or breaking them in half?
Let me know, and we can talk more from there.

Thanks for replying to me. Im taking half in the morning and the other half afternoon. I have been in these slimfast thingys for a while and you are right they dont fill me enough. I do drink plenty of water but here is the crunch...I dont excercise! I work long hours and when Im not working I have a 3 year old that keeps me busy. Walking the dogs is about it. I dont know when I would fit exercise in to my schedule. I know thats a lame excuse. I have been working all day today and just got in the house and Im totally exhausted! Also switched to decaff coffee and 2 cups per day max. I managed to rustle up a grilled chicken salad wrapped in pita bread for supper. Lord I could murder a piece of chocolate right now!!! But I wont. What is so disheartening is when you see others posting that they have lost weight in 2 days. I guess I will ditch the slimfast and try better breakfasts and lunches. Anyway..thanks for replying to my post..its nice to know someone out there is listening.

Yes, please do get rid of the slim-fast shakes. If you notice the nutrition facts, you will also see that they are LOADED w/ sugar :( I thought they would be good too, but nope, uh-uh sorry LOL As for other breakfast, if you like peanut butter that's always good on toast, with a piece of fruit also. That way you are getting your fiber, protien, and a fruit serving. I also like Vanilla yogurt with some type of fruit mixed in. Eating something small every 3-4 hours also helps. That way you don't get hungry, and it speeds up your metabolism. Nothing big of course! Even if it's just to snack on a piece of fruit, or some veggies, a little goes along way.
As for exercise. I have a workout video called Walk Away The Pounds. It's a very good tape where you can walk indoors doing a 15 mile. I think the womans name is Leslie Sansone. She has others to where you build up to 2 and 3 miles. They are pretty easy to do and actually not boring. I really enjoy them myself. There are all kinds of tapes out there like that. Where it only takes you 15 or so minutes to do them. Some are even less. You have to get some kind of exercise in there though. That is the ONLY thing my Doc TOLD me to do. He wasn't worried about the calories or anything other than I HAD to do some kind of exercise. The Phentermine doesn't make you lose weight. It's an appetite suppresant, you have to do the work. So even if you can find the time to even just do some crunches, sit-ups, jumping jacks, a short walk or anything it's going to make the difference you are looking for.

you have been a great help..I have ditched the slimfast shakes. Had some nice toast, lowfat spread and tomatoes this morning..it was much more filling..Salad for lunch..although..naughty tonight!! Took my 3 year old to chuckecheese and had a big slice of pizza!!! I should be shot at dawn I know. Anyway..in sitting at this laptop munching on some watermelon trying to redeem myself. I have decided not to weigh myself until monday as that will be one week. I have such a long way to go and have given up so many times, this time it has to work for me. I have alot riding on it. Im going to go shopping tommorow and see if I can pick up a workout tape like you suggested..thanks again!

Honestly, don't worry about the slice of pizza. Even though we are trying to lose weight, we need to have the occasional thing we love. If not, when we do stop the Phentermine, and go and try to keep doing well w/out, we will end up "splurging" and totally ruin everything we have worked for. So pizza, the occasional candy bar, or whatever isn't all that bad. As long as it's not an everyday thing, and it's done in moderation. Just remember that portion size is key to everything.

I hopeyou find a tape that you like. Some of them are alot of fun I hear. I'm going to be looking for some others soon also. I'm in the process of packing the house up right now...moving in 2 weeks so I have no time, energy or money to buy another tape right now LOL After the move for sure though! Keep me posted on how you are doing.
