Hello ,
I was soooo excited to try my first phentermine 30mg pill the other day! I have read so much and couldn't wait to start.
I took the pill 9am, I had dry mouth and a ton of engery. I felt like I had too much coffee or a caffiene pill. I drank a gallon of water, no lie! I was feeling great.
Then 9pm I got a headache, felt faint, cold sweat and panic.
Am I allergic or too high of a dose? Any thoughts?

If you have the tabs that can be broken in two -try taking half a pill instead of a whole one. sometimes if you have never taken phentermine before you can get the kind of reaction that you described. Then after about a week try taking the other half around lunch time untill you can tolerate a whole pill. This is what i had to do also only I had started with the 37.5mg tabs and broke them in half. Yes you do get quite a bit of energy and the jitters like you have been hooked up directly to an electrical outlet- This should calm down after you take the pills for a few days. Good luck!

Well I had the Dry Mouth and I have been on it for a month and after about 2 weeks it went away... BUT now I am having a new strange reaction... my lips are chapped and bright red.. anyone else have this reaction?????

Hi Miss Melissa, You are having a mild reaction to the phentermine. It can be one of the side effects. Although It's not a common one I really wouldn't consider it a rare one. It is mostly due to the dryness of membranes that phentermine causes. Try using chapstick frequently, and if it gets worse, you should see the Doc. dawg

Well I used some vaseline for about a week and now it is gone.. Im glad cause it was really annoying!

Hi Melissa, I had that same problem when I was taking phentermine. It doesn't sound as if mine was nearly as bad as yours. I do know, it tried to come back twice, so I made sure I :razz: carried a chap stick in my purse.
