My phen is scheduled to show up tomorrow (NOT dr. prescribed...she said no when I asked) but I also take 50mg of pamalor a day for migraines (which IS prescribed). Now I don't know if I should start the phen or not. I'd planned to take my BP on the machine at the pharmacy once or twice a week to make sure it's not going haywire. My BP tends to run on the lower side of normal even overweight and on pamalor (110/60) so part of me feels like it's worth chancing, but I'm still scared.

Anyone out there taking a tricyclic antidepressant and phen at the same time and care to share your experiences with me? Thanks in advance!

Welp, my phen showed up today! I'm pretty excited now. I need to give a fasting blood test tomorrow morning and don't want it showing up in there so I'll actually start in Wednesday. I'm thinking it's worth trying out, esp. considering I'm taking 1/2 the pamelor dose that is usually prescribed. I promise I'll be supervigilent about BP and such. I also start Weight Watchers Core program same day.

I am NOT, however, going to weigh. I'm sooooo sick of my life being ruled by a number and not by what I'm eating and how my clothes feel. So there.

Go YOU!! =D> You know, it's recommended that you take phentermine about an hour before eating. If your test is scheduled for first thing in the morning you could always take it right after you give blood. I would, but then again I could hardly contain myself when I got mine. I think I took it around 10 a.m. the first time. Why don't you try taking measurments instead of weighing? Sometimes is brings faster results.

Test won't happen until around 9:30 am and then straight to work...and then another hour before I can eat anything? Hmm. I'm thinking I'd rather take it Wednesday when I get up (6:30am) so I'll have an hour or so before we leave the house to take the kidlet to school. Should I be concerned about taking it on a weekday morning? Or should I wait until a weekend day so I can see how it affects me? I'm such a worry wart.

Yeah, will definitely measure, or find a piece of clothing to judge by.

You know, I didn't think about that....I'm a stay at home mom, so all of my days are pretty much the same, LOL!! I know I only took 1/2 of the 37.5 the first day to see what would happen. After all was ok I took the other half around noon. I think you'll be pkay for tomorrow, just keep some Tylenol or something with you because those first couple of days might give you a headache. And water, lots and lots of water. I usually freeze bottled water when I have to be out all day, and then as it thaws I have ice water all day. Ice water helps you burn calories because it lowers your core body temperature and your body will burn calories trying to warm it back up.

That water thing sounds like a great idea! And since I'm migraine prone I always have ibuprofen on me at least. My friends call me the human pharmacy. I have so many pills in my bag it makes a clacky noise when I walk! Yeah, I had already decided to just try a 1/2 pill tomorrow to start off slow.

For what it's worth, I'm going to be a SAHM starting Sept. 1...I'll be leaving my job at Shutterfly to start homeschooling my daughter and start a freelance design business. 2.5 more months...I SO can't wait!! It'll be hard work but at least I know it will be towards something more meaningful than being a corporate whore, ya know?

Sorry. That probably came off as bitter! Did I mention I can't wait to leave my job?
