Greetings!
I stumbled on this site yesterday! I'm so glad you are out there!
I started on the Phentermine on July 5th, weighing in at 283. The first couple of weeks were kind of difficult, because while I was not hungry, that didn't stop my from eating pretty much whatever I wanted. After 2 weeks of that, I started being aware of my calories ingested, and MOST days limiting it to 1,400. I went back to my Dear Dr. last Friday, August 4th -- 8.5 # less! (274.5)
I go back to the Dr. on September 1st and plan to have remarkable weight reduction! He will let me stay on the Phentermine for a total of 6 months. Then I will have to take 6 months off -- or switch to Meridia, which I would rather not do.
Counting calories seems to be keeping me conscious around food, which is a good thing. I am going to start exercising this week.
Does the 1,400 calories seem like a good number for me? Some days I have had 1,100 or 1,200 calories, but the 1,400 seems pretty relaxed.
By the way, I am 5'6" and 40 years old. Dr. said my BMI was 46. My ultimate goal is 160 -- I think! That is subject to change!
Have a Great Day!
