Hello! I have not started on Phentermine yet but I have placed my order. I am excited to get started after hearing all of the great success stories here. It hit me last week as my baby was starting Kindergarten that I was still carrying my baby weight plus some. I had my three kids within 3 1/2 years. They were so close together that by baby #3 I just could not get the weight off. I did see good results from the South Beach Diet a few years ago by dropping 20 lbs. but recently gained that back after playing the on again/off again thing with antidepressants, which I am off of now. I am hoping to lose 35 pounds. I am a little nervous because I already suffer from migraines and I am worried this might enhance them even more. Does anyone have any advice on how to possibly prevent this? I already take vitamin B daily for them.

Hi, HopeN2Lose! The only thing I have found on migraines and phen is not even trustworthy, but may be interesting for you. I Googled that question and came back with:

</TD><TD vAlign=top noWrap> </TD></TR><TR><TD colSpan=2>I recently started taking Phentermine to treat my severe migraine headaches. Prior to this treatment, I suffered from migraines every 2-3 weeks, lasting 3 days each. I've been on Phentermine for 9 weeks now - and NO migraines! For the first time in 10 years, I am migraine free. My doctor monitors me every month. Something in the Phen blocks the migraine trigger, and I feel like I have my life back.</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR><TR><TD class=row2 vAlign=top width="100%" height=28><TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD width="100%">

</TD><TD vAlign=top noWrap> </TD></TR><TR><TD colSpan=2>That is VERY interesting. I am prone to getting occasional migraines and I do not get headaches from phentermine, unless I combine it with caffeine (a big no-no.) My girlfriend, however, always gets a headache with Adipex, and she does not get migraines.

Any references on this would be great!

Cheers,
Jon

I have suffered from migraines for 10 years, had two major surgeries, countless pain drugs, etc. with no relief until I started using this. I'm not 10+ weeks with no headaches at all. If her doctor would like to talk to my doctor about it, let me know and I'll forward that info. Good luck!</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>"
Good Luck and please post if you are able to find out any information about this interaction!

Thank you so much! That is very interesting. I have had 3 migraines in the past 7 days but I DID start on Phentermine Sunday and I have not had one since! I am going to keep my fingers crossed. I have not had this much energy in months. I have started getting up at 5 each morning to take my phentermine and to work out before waking the kids for school and having breakfast. I am also walking 3 1/2 miles each evening with a walking buddy. It has been a great combination of energy! I have lost 5 pounds since Sunday. I have also started Weight Watchers in the process. I know most of it has to be water loss but it is motivating to have the waist of my clothes loosen a little. My moods have also improved tremendiously. My only problem so far is not being able to sleep. I am taking the second half of my 37.5 mg about 4:00 each afternoon. Any suggestions on sleep?

It seems that most people on this site if taking two pills take the other at lunch. Taking it at 4 is probably too late!!! I just started the 37.5 today and took 1/2 at 6 and the other at 11:30 before lunch. Hope this helps...

Does this need to be like an hour before you eat or maybe on an empty stomach?

You go, Girls! You are both doing great! And I am so proud for you!
I think it is suggested that in order for the phen to begin its work immediately, that you should take it an hour before breakfast and, if you take the other 1/2 dose, take it an hour before lunch or by 10:30 am. For me that is the very latest time that will allow me to sleep well. I don't need any help in the beginning of my day at 5am, so I save mine and take it about 9 am, after all my coffee has cleared my system.
I pray those nasty migraines stay away and that you both get a great night's sleep!
