Bontril so far.............

Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you know how the Bontril is working instead of the Adipex (phentermine). Frankly, I like the Adipex better for one reason: I could sleep at night when I was taking the Adipex. This Bontril is keeping me up at night! I have to take a Benadryl just to sleep! The doctor gave me a script for Sonata sleep medication but I haven't been taking it. Other than that, I don't see a big difference in the two medications. I hope this helps anyone that is considering Bontril. I am going to request to go back to Adipex.

Thanks for that info Ashley! I've been considering switching to Bontril, but not really sure it would make much of a difference! I CERTAINLY do NOT need to be up at night, cuz I already am the way it is!!!!! :( Now I'm not sure what to do...:confused:

I take Bontril and don't worry - the sleeplessness only lasts for a few days - take the benadryl. After about 3-4 days I was back to a normal sleeping schedule after my body adjusted to the Bontril. I love Bontril (aka Phendimetrazine). Also try taking it earlier in the day, not after 5pm-ish at first.

Hey Tampagirl! Thanks so much for the information, and you are so right..........now that I am adjusted to the Bontril, I sleep much better. I do still take a benadryl if I am not tired by 10pm, but that is rare. I take my Bontril usually around 7am. If I don't remember to take it by 9am, I just don't take it that day for fear that I will be up all night. Congrats on your weight loss as well!

:p Hi, Guys! I would love to know a trusted site to look at the prices for Bontril. I heard someone say they took it up to 6 times a day! 6 pills a day?:confused:

Hey Susan! I don't know a good website for Bontril, but I have never heard of taking Bontril that many times a day. I take the 150 mg one just once a day. If I "hear" of a good website, I'll let you know!

I am on the shorter release 37.5mg kind - so I take one about every 2-3 hours - up to 6 a day. The other girls sound like they are on the once a day Bontril.
