Listen up everyone! Back away from the cabbage soup. It is a truly unhealthy way to temporarily lose weight. Basically, the extremely low caloric intake of eating tons of glorified cabbage water sprinkled with random combinations of food for the prescribed 7-14 days leaves the body weak, dehydrated, and nutritionally imbalanced. People have been known to pass out especially if they decide to go the second week. Plus, the ultimate goal of any diet is to teach the person on how to eat responsibly. This certainly does not teach responsibility. Furthermore, most claim that cabbage has "fat-burning" properties which is FALSE. It is a fine vegetable but does not help you burn fat any better than zucchini or celery. The diet provides no protein, negligible carbs, and little in the way of essential fats and has been described as dangerous if not exactly adhered to. Dangerous?!? The fact that one is dehydrating herself is the reason why you can lose 10+ pounds in a week, but the second you start eating regular(even healthy) meals again is when you gain it all back and quite rapidly too. So, don't bother with this "Godzilla of all Fad Diets" Let me know if this makes sense.

I don't see how anyone could stand to stay on that diet anyway for a long period of time. I tried it years ago and after the first day I never wanted to see or smell cabbage again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
