I have been on phentermine for about 2 years, and it worked great! I lost 60 pounds in about 9 months. My mood was better then it has ever been, and I felt like a new person!

About 8 months ago I started to gain back the weight, and now I have gained a total of 20 pounds, and It does'nt seem to be working anymore. I stoped taking it for about a month, and tried it again. I do feel better when I am on phentermine, but as for the weight, no improvement.

I was wondering if I need to take a different diet pill, or if anyone has had the same problem? Any advice?

Hi, Laurie and welcome to the Fold!! You have lost a lot of weight already and you are being a smart little cookie to try to get a handle on this 20 pounds.
Phentermine is a tool to help you have the chutzpah to re-learn healthy ways of living while it gives you a measure of willpower. Unless you determine to exercise that time in learning good habits, the weight comes right back on. I have estimated before to have lost and regained about 700 lbs. in my lifetime!
You absolutely must make THIS time the LAST time and read, read, read and learn how to eat and exercise so it never comes back again. I have heard that phentramin is a good tool to use if you are immune to phentermine, but these cannot be magic pillls. Use them, Darlin', then go it on your own.
IT IS POSSIBLE! YOU CAN SO DO THIS!!!

increase your activity and make better food choices. Look at getting in a decent amount of fiber and protein daily. Low carb diets put you in ketosis which helps in blunting ones appetite naturally. That might be something you could google up. There are nay sayers to the diet, mostly those that have been unsuccessful or push other diets. A diet is a way of eating, and there are a million diets out there. I find ketosis diets to be the easiest because you never go hungry.

Since you still see a difference in your mood, and they way they make you feel, I am thinking you must not be completly immuned to them. I am not sure if this would help, but have you thought about switching doses, or when you are taking them during the day? My daughter breaks up her dose, and that works well for her, and I take mine a little later in the day because night time eating is hard for me. I am new to this still, but have seen this work for some

Exercize, Exercize, Exercize!!!! It's the only way. Nothing works without the right combination of exercize and calories. If the weights not coming off you have to reduce the calories or increase the exercize....for me, the exercize is easier. Good luck!!!!
