Welcome, Tammy!

You've done a great job with your weight loss so far. To ensure you keep it off I recommend starting a weight loss journal. You'll love the support group there!

Hi, Tammy and welcome to PhenForum! Most of us here hold a bachelor's degree in gaining weight as a minor and are working toward a major degree in healthy living!
Is the phentermine still working for you after 8 months? Post again and let us know.......

Thanks for the reply yes, still working...Doesn't curb my appetite as strong as it did at first...but, by now I have learned to fight the need to gobble down a cheese burger and shake from fast food.
I am always ready to be hungry even when I am not...I have healthy snacks every where...in my car, bag...easier for me that way...
Thanks guys!

Thats an awesome idea....I really didn't think of keeping snacks all around like that. I love pretzels (i know the sodium is bad, but its better than ice cream) and I could keep zip lock bags of them everywhere, then I don't even go into the kitchen. Thanks for the tip! Just a note: I have been taking phetermine for a year now and it still works for me too. However, its the same as you.....it doesn't curb my appetite as much but that's just made me have to use my own will power more. For 3 months, I did lower the dosage to 30 mg one day and 15 the next. That way, when I went back to the 37.5, I feel like I am taking them for the first time. I feel like I'll be on them forever!! But once I reach my goal, I hope to get off of them....Good luck!

The one thing I've noticed that no one ever brings up is the fact that phentermine can become extremely psychologically addictive. I've used it on and off for years to keep my weight low,and even though it only "sort of " works,I still feel the need to have it around. If it feels like it's not really working for you anymore and you're still taking it, you should think about it. And by the way, I'm not directing this at anyone in anyway whatsoever. I'm just throwing it out there.

You are so right; it can be addicting if we rely on it to do the work. Of course, it DOES do the work at first, but it is extremely important to train your body in a completely different way so that this need never happens again.
I absolutely loathed the idea that I had to get rid of all my Little Debbie bars,Snickers, ice cream, pound cake(but it's HOME-MADE!!!), chips and dip, Cheese-Whiz...so I bagged it up and drove it to Mama's basement where I stored it.
I think having only healths snacks around helped me around the curve and was vital to my success!
GREAT IDEA!
