Hi everyone,

I just started my program 2 days ago. I haven't weighed myself yet, I thought I should wait a week. I am very addicted to coffee and haven't given it up yet. Any ideas on how to ween myself?

I have been poking around the forum and decided to become a member because so many of you are so encouraging. I think it is great that you have such a wonderful support group. I am sure I will need it.

Welcome! Everyone here is great! I just quit coffee and started drinking water. I have really bad acid reflux, so quitting the coffee wasn't as hard for me. I used to drink a lot of it and them pay for it with heartburn and that. Really you should watch your caffeine intake while you are on Phen. Caffeine supposedly flushes phen and other vitamin, etc. out of the body faster. What exactly are you taking? How are you eating and are you drinking water? By the way best of wishes!!!!!

Don't weigh yourself more than once a week-if you weigh yourself everyday you'll get discouraged if you don't see a loss. You don't have to give up coffee completely. A lot of people feel it diminishes the strength of the phentermine (it's been debated) I don't. As a matter of fact, I take my phen with coffee. It acts like a catalyst.....for me. Of course everyone is different so to each his own. You have to find what works best for you.

I have been eating cottage cheese and pineapple mostly. I was doing that before I got on the phen 37.5. I picked up some rice cakes today and they weren't as much like styrofaom as I thought they'd be. I am really trying to watch my Cholesterol too. I have high cholesterol. I have not been hungry really at all. So far I have eaten once today, which I know is not good.

How do I set up the ticker? I tried twice but it never showed up on my posts.

Thanks for the advice too. I hate water so thought I'd try propel, has anyone tried it? I really can't imagine no coffee, it is all I drink.

I like to buy the little packets of Propel that you add to your own water. They are usually by the Kool-Aid and Crystal Light area. You need to click on tickers at the top of the page, follow the directions and make to copy it and then go to your profile and edit signature and then paste it there. Good Luck!

I'm in the same boat with coffee ... but I've also noticed that it seems to "kick my butt into gear" in the mornings when taken with my phen - so I don't know. I'm going to slowly get from two cups to one to none. I also drink green tea in the morning - it seems to satisfy the "warm drink" need that I have and also helps with my diet.
