Hi all! I started phentermine one week ago by seeing a medical weight loss doctor in NYC (which was really difficult to find, btw). In Sept 2008 I was sexually assaulted and subsequently went in to a deep depression. I turned to food for comfort and gained 30lbs. Yes, I was eating a lot!! Thanks to therapy and allowing myself to feel my feelings rather than eat them away I am in a great place mentally, emotionally now and am motivated to be healthy physcially too. Glad to be here!!

Hi metropolisurs, welcome to the forum! I'm glad you're here. I am so sorry you had to go through that horrible experience. I'm so glad you're taking your life back, and striving to get healthier (mentally, emotionally, and physically). You have definitely come to the right place, because you will get so much support and encouragement here. I know I have. I've been on phentermine 37.5mg for 3 weeks now, and it has helped me soooo much. Just remember to make sure you're eating enough every day. Even if you have no appetite, it's so important to eat enough to keep your metabolism going. Make sure to eat breakfast, and several small meals during the day and drink plenty of water, and exercise if you can. You'll do great! I'm so happy for you!

Welcome, Met! Shaking off traumatic events is a hard emotional battle. Some things just can't be 'dealt' with...just have to form new healthy moments. Sounds like that's what you are doing!
