Hi everyone! I'm not new to Phentermine...I took it for a few months back in 2004 and 2005. It always worked well, but I would only eat less of the garbage I normally ate and once I stopped the medication, and had my children, I piled the weight back on.

This time I'm in it to win it! I just completed a round of HCG injections, and lost 18 lbs! I have around 53 left to lose. I am so excited to start eating more varied foods than what I did on the HCG protocol, but I want to do things right this time. I'm joining this forum for support on my journey, and I've already been inspired by what I have read "lurking" around the threads.

Welcome!! We are very glad to have you join our forum!! It is a wonderful place to find support, motivation and ideas. And best of all, I am sure you can make a friend or two!

I know you probably already know a few things, but I will go ahead and list some of the most important things to remember...keeping your calorie intake between 1200 and 1500 per day. Make sure you include plenty of fruits and veggies. And most generally, it is better for your metabolism to divide up those calories into 6 to 8 mini meals per day. Also making sure you drink at least 80 to 100 oz of water per day....this not only keeps your system flushed out but it also keeps your organs working properly. Exercise for 20 minutes 4 to 5 days a week. You don't have to go to the gym, just any exercise that will increase your heart rate and keep it up for that 20 minutes will do...it can be dancing around the living room or whatever works the best for you.

If you try to include these tips, you will have great results with the phen. And by incorporating it in your life now, it will make keeping the weight off once you reach your goal much easier. Use this time on the phen to stop those bad habits and make new healthier ones. It is all about lifestyle change. It might help to keep a food journal for a little while too...you might be surprised by how many things you eat without even realizing it...be sure to list everything you eat and drink including the most exact calorie count as you can. This keeps us accountable for our decisions. You can't argue with what is in front of you in black and white! lol!

So, we are really glad to have you join us on this lovely bumpy journey we are all on. Good luck!!

Thank you for responding! Yes, I do want to excercise, but I do not feel comfortable at a gym...I never thought of dancing in my living room! My kids would love it!

Btw, in case anyone else is in the same boat, I'm a single mom of a 1 yr and 4 yr old. I left their father due to his drug addiction when I was pregnant with my youngest...that is when I really began to eat to cover my stress and emotions.

Anyone have any thoughts on overcoming emotional eating?

Hi and Welcome bella529...Stress wrecks havoc to us esp. those of us who are overweight because we eat too much.

Instead of sitting in front of the TV if i can i go for a walk, bike ride or just sit outside as far from the frig. as i can..i carry a water bottle all the time sometimes were just thirsty not hungry...fill up on water....

keep healthy snacks like s/f jello, strawberries, cut up carrots and celery maybe w/a little p/butter...around...

Good luck to you

Hi! Boy, is that the truth! How many times we don't really CHANGE our knowledge about food intake and have to go on the same 'diet' every 6 months. SHEESH...Here's what I tried and it really changed for me.
