Hi, JC! Glad to have you onboard with us.
There are several tricks to dampening that hunger. I hope others will add to this list:
Drink a cup of cold water before you eat.
Have bullion soup, hot, before eating.
Eat a salad first.
Stay away from simple carbs like sugar, potatoes, cakes, cookies..
Load up with complex carbs and proteins. They work best at keeping your appetite spikes in check.
Write down and measure everything you eat or drink.
Eat at least a total of 1,100 calories a day, 5-6 times a day.
Eat some form of protein EACH time..Eggs, milk, lowfat cheeses, poultry, meat, fish, nuts, beans, etc.
If you are still really hungry after you have had a form of protein and 15 minutes have passed, allow yourself to eat more protein.
