Hello everyone! My name is Eric and I live in West Tennessee. Tomorrow will be 1 week since I started taking Phentermine. I am walking everyday or everyother day and watching calories and portion size. So far as of this morning I have lost 6.5 lbs. My starting goal is to lose 55.5 lbs. Any tips to help me out? I am looking for motivators to help me be more successful!!

Hello Eric! Sounds to me like your doing a really good job so far! I started taking Phentermine Oct. 22, and I am already down 11 lbs! I can tell ya, deffinetly drink LOTS of water!! And when I started, I was only eating when I remembred to eat, so I wasnt getting all the calories I should have been. I know a couple other people that will tell ya too, that you should eat at least 1100 calories a day. just have faith, and determination and you will meet your goal.

Hi, Eric! Very nice to have you here.
I have been fighting a fever all day, so will not be on until tomorrow, which I apologize for.

Hi, Eric!! Glad to have you join us!! There are lots and lots of great ideas here for dieting tips....just depends on what works the best for you...and it may take a few until you find that perfect one, so don't give up in the meantime.

desperate is very correct...drinking 80 to 100 oz of water a day is very important, and even though you are dieting, it is still very important that you get enough calories per day, the recommended average is usually between 1200 to 1500 per day, and it works the best if you divide these up into 6-8 mini meals a day including plenty of protein and fruits and veggies.

Best suggestion is to read as many threads as you can, though.....there is a wealth of information on this site for you. But if you have a question, feel free to ask! You can either pm Susan or I or any other member, or post it on the boards. We are glad to have you!!

Thanks Y'all! Great advice! I am pumped to shed this fatty weight I have carried around with me the majority of my life. The only time I was ever on the lighter side is when I was in college. And I realize that was only because 1.) I was a starving college student that didn't have two nickels to rub together. 2.)I worked a full time job during the week, went to school every night of the week, and worked a part time job on the weekends. How I ever had time for all that and time to have fun I'll never figure out!
Anyways, I am motivated and excited. I can already notice the change in how I look and feel.
-Eric

One of the most wonderful things to me, was finding out I could eat much more -and nutrition-packed foods- and lose even more weight that eating under 1,000 calories a day! YES!

Lost another 1.5lbs. YES!!! 8lbs. total so far!!
My wife wanted to go to Red Labster last night for dinner since we were out running errands afterwork. I had 1/2 order of grill mahi mahi w/ steamed broccorli; a salad w/tiny amt. of ranch dressing on the side and water w/lemon. I was feeling damn good about my choice and portion control. I didn't even eat one of those yummy butter saturated garlic and cheese biscuits!
I think I am starting to really enjoy the more healthy foods!

Nice!!! One of the most important things you can do while on phentermine is retrain your mind and body into making healthier choices, so you definately are on the right track!! Way to go!

I'm not personally a seafood person, but I have had their biscuits and they are so so so yummy!! You must have a tremendous amount of willpower!! lol!! Good job!!
