I'm sorry you're facing this issue! :( What kinds of foods are you eating?
Have you gone to the doctor to get checked for hypothyroidism?

Also, if you're bascially starving yourself, your body shuts down its
fat-burning mechanisms (almost completely), so every time you
eat something, your body treats it like it's your last meal ever.
In other words, if you're eating less than 3 meals a day or 4-6
small meals a day (best), then you're going to have a very hard
time losing weight.

Also, are you exercising? If you want to lose weight permanently,
cardiovascular exercise is the first KEY. I'm talking about anything
from 15 minutes of brisk walking to 40 minutes of walking/running
at the park.

The second key to losing weight permanently (especially with Phen)
is to use the appetite suppression of Phentermine to help you
adjust the way you eat (South Beach is a GREAT guide just to
know the right foods to fuel your body).

I hope I've been of some help. let me know! I'm sure other people
here will have something to say later tomorrow.

Good luck and never give up!

I had the same problem with Phentermine tolerance mentioned in other posts, but stumbled upon something that eliminated it for me. I must preface this by saying that I am not a medical professional, have no medical experience, am not giving medical advice and only wish to share my own personal experience. I began taking 100 mg of phosphatidyl serine 3 x's per day and 1000 mg of conjugated lineolic acid (aka CLA aka Tonalin) 3 x's per day and about a week after starting both, I noticed my tolerance build up stop and the Fastin become effective again. Does anyone else have any experience with these or other over the counter supplements that eliminate or reduce tolerance build-up to Phentermine? Thanks.

These are the kind of things that make me concerned about taking medication for weight loss. 14 years on a medication? Having to take more meds so the first one will keep working? Maybe it's just me, but these do not sound like healthy ways to live at all! I realize that by trying to lose weight without any meds means I will lose it alot slower than some, but at the end I will have made all the changes neccessary to continue for the rest of my life. I'm not saying that nobody should take them ever, but years on a weight loss medication tells me that something else is wrong, and if it stops working maybe the answer is to try something different instead.

"14 years on a medication? "

I agree that it's a bad idea to take this medication for 14 years, in fact anyone taking this drug for 14 years might start hallucinating. By the way, where in my post did I say that I was taking anything for 14 years? I didn't see that... hmm.

Michelle-

You didn't say you took it for 14 years is someone else in the thread that has been taking it for that long.

Sorry didn't mean to create confusion. I was mixing up more than one message in order to generalize things rather than focusing on one person.

I have used for 14 years and I can't stop taking it because of the energy it gives you. I have energy , but the last 3 yrs. I began putting on weight again. I am Working out and barely eating and I can't stop the lbs. from coming on one by one. When I started at 146 lbs. height 5'3" in 1991 I lost down to 118 and could maintain that weight around 120-123 for about 10 yrs., I have put off having children because I have always had a weight problem as a child and if I stop taking it, I know I will regain even more and have no energy and want to sleep my life away. This year I am back at 146 again and starving myself and nothing is working anymore. Please help!!!
