Aloha, I have been taking Phentermine 37.5mg since Jan. 29, 2008. I started off at 197lbs and I am currently at between 150-156lbs right now. I lost a significant amount of weight the first three months on it and I also have been exercising and eating right. The problem that I am having now is that I go to two months check-ups with my Dr. who prescribes and follows up with me and the past four months I have not been able to lose anything. It is very frustrating and I have been eating right and exercising 4-5 days a week. I don't know what else to do. My Dr. wants to see a 10 lb weight loss by Nov. 11. Please help me someone! My goal weight it 140-145 lbs.

In regards to a plateau.

Try mixing your routine up. If you normally walk on a tread mill for half an hour then go swimming instead. Go out and chase the kids around,Ride a bike. Changing your routine about a little keeps your body guessing. So does ZigZagging your calories for the day and can also help you get over a plateau.

Try this website link
This website has a (zig-zag calculator) go to Naturals physique Click on Calculators
Then click on this link
Zig-Zag Calculator for Fat Loss and/or Muscle GainThe Zig-Zag, Basically you eat 200 more calories today th an you normally eat, then eat 200 less calories than you normally eat tomorrow, then continue with the pattern. The 200-calorie amount is just a ballpark example; it may be different for your body.

Exercise more, If you’re doing 30 minutes a day for four days a week, try 45 minutes a day for five days a week.
Exercise at different times, If you usually work out in the afternoon, try waking up early and doing it. or wait until after the sun sets. This will confuse your body and make it work overtime.
Exercise differently, Stop just running on the treadmill and go out and play some basketball, or take a exercise class, or do something else to get out of your rut. strength training works wonders and is very important to Building muscle and is the key to long term, sustainable weight loss. So work those weight machines and dumbbells whenever you can.

The first week was really great I lose 8 lbs and had way too much energy. After that I didn't lose much more and later I've gained it all back plus a couple pounds, but I'm still taking phen because I need the energy. Has this happened to anyone? I've read that it can be habit forming for some people and I almost feel like i need phentermine just to get up in the morning.
I totslly agree with u..... How long have u been taking it? I took a month off after taking it for 7 months straight and Im concerned it will not work as well. Maybe its all in my head..... Has anyone used it and then when they came back to using it again, it was different for them? Please share

Unfortunately, I've heard the second time around is harder, then the first and sometimes your right it does not work the same.

Hopefully you will be one of the one's, who prove my comment wrong and it still works for you but, maybe just slower. You may have to see your Dr. and ask him/her and your Dose may have to be adjusted, don't know or they may try you on something else, for a while.

Let us know what happens and hopefully other's will reply. Oh one other member recently started back on phentermine and it seemed to work for her again but, she took like a two year break inbetween and she had to up her Dosage some (Approved by her Dr. of course) To continue to lose.

Like all medications make sure you discuss the pros and cons with a doctor. Phentermine is a serious drug with serious side effects. Read this article before taking the drug: the-diet-pills-report.com/articles/phentermine-diet-pills The Diet Pills Report. This might be the right drug for you but just make sure you educate yourself first.

Good luck

Good advice, Olym! That site is not a reliable source of information, but your advice is sound! Thanks!
