Hello All -

This will be my first post, I started phen today, before going to my DR appointment, I did some reading on this site and decided to pose some of the questions to the Dr..

The first question was regarding caffeine and the affects on phentermine, I was told it didn't impact the phen at all. I then brought up the idea that the caffeine is a diuretic and will this actually flush the phen out of your system quicker. I was told, maybe a tad bit quicker, but not enough to be concerned about.

Then I asked about CLA and 5-HTP, I got a high five on the CLA, but was told to stay away from 5-HTP due to the seratonin levels.

My last question was regarding building a tolerance to the Phen, I was told "no" this would not happen or if I take a couple of days off from the Phen, every few weeks, that should prevent the problem.

I'll be the first to say that I have been on Phen on and off for many years. I do beleive that your body builds a tolerance, if the pills stop working or become very week, what other explanation is there? I also made a decsion to stay away from caffeine anyway, I am determined to lose this weight and do not want to sabotage my diet, besides it's the healthier choice regardless. I am also going to take both the CLA and5-HTP, against the advice of the DR. I would really appreciate the opinions of fellow members on the issues I raised, thank you, thank you!
