ok i ordered my phen by recommendation of a friend. she got hers at classicpharmacy.com and i got mine there too. however, they have A257 on them (white and blue speckled tablets).
I've read now....that these are basically pills that don't work becasue they were recalled by the Able company.

I know you take a chance when you order online, but i have apparently gotten the kind thats been recalled!!!!!!!

Are there any pharmacies online you can trust to get medicine that hasn't been recalled by a company? You don't really know what you're getting online.....

Sororitycookie, I'm very sorry to hear that, as that was my fear after
reading your first post. However, I wasn't sure if A527 was Able Labs
Phentermine, so I was waiting for an answer at Drugs.com.

I think the prices are higher than most online pharmacies, but I definitely
trust PharmacyUSA.

I have talked with the owner and found his attitude refreshing. They are
one of the very few online pharmacies that have a SquareTrade Seal of
approval, licensed by the Florida board of pharmacists. They are really
trying to be the best, and are looking good so far.

If you are looking for quality, I recommend this company.

If they are too expensive for you, I'm not sure where else you can go.

Good luck.

So this is the company that has been recalled i take it?
I still feel the side effects that were mentioned, the dry mouth, jitters etc...
but its recalled because it "doesn't work?"

I'll try out the pharmacy, money isn't an issue except now i've just spent $70 on bad stuff! :(

I think I read that they recalled their products due to a federal investigation's
discovery of improper or incomplete lab testing. This could result in ineffective
or impure products, but I'm not sure exactly what the case is with Phen.

I'll look into their recall a bit more tomorrow morning. Any ideas, ZippysGoddess?

Here's the link the FDA site with their information on the recall:

http://www.fda.gov/bbs/topics/NEWS/2005/NEW01182.html

Able Laboratories of Cranbury, NJ, is conducting a nationwide recall of all of its manufactured drugs (mostly generic prescription drugs, including drugs containing acetaminophen) because of serious concerns that they were not produced according to quality assurance standards. Able Laboratories has ceased all current production.

I can also tell you that quality assurance standards are guidelines that they have to use to ensure that the drugs are bioequivelent to their name brand counterparts and manufactured with purity and safety standards. So yes, there is a chance you have gotten drugs that are less potent and not as effective as they should be.

A batch of drugs that is manufactured under questionable conditions could actually end up with all the active ingredients in some of the pills, while others have none, or don't have the full dose.

And yes Ian, you are right, the lab testing can be part of it. They are supposed to grab a pill at random on their production line, every so often and test it to make sure their manufacturing process is operating correctly. If they weren't doing that, then that is how so many pills could have gotten by and might not have all, or any, of the active ingredient.

I would suggest that anyone who purchased them from an uncooperative online pharmacy, call Able labs about how to get their money back or obtain replacement products.

Thanks for the info. You know alot about the industry, and I love to learn,
so it's all good. Hehe..

Guess what I found! You may already be using this to help people with
pill identification, but since I'm working on that for the Shoppe.MD forum,
I found this site run by a brick and mortar pharmacy:

http://www.wallsrx.com/services/cpident.cfm

It's great! I've identified mystery pills for a few people on Drugs.com
tonight already. It's very satisfying.
