I was thinking at the gym last night and was hoping to get some feedback.

Lets say you eat 1200 calories a day. And it is stressed that you SHOULD work out.. So you go to the gym and burn 200 calories..

Does 1200 mean-after exercise? Should you eat 1400 calories and burn off 200?! Because if youre eating only 1200 and you work out and burn 400 calories then youre at 800 calories for the day.. That doesnt seem like enough!

I am almost certain it means consume 1200 calories--the exercise and calories burned are what makes you lose the weight.

The personal trainer at my gym said that most bodies need a minimum of 13-1400 calories just to support major body functions (ie. kidneys, brain, etc.).. thats why i was so confused..

So if you eat only 800 calories a day-does that mean you'll get the same results (weight loss wise) as someone who consumes 1200 and burns off 400 at the gym?

Hi Marsoopial, here's some info about how many calories you should
consume, and the percentage your should burn:

http://www.weightlossresources.co.uk...e_calories.htm

I found this section of the article to be particularly heplful:

This is the amount of calories you burn just by being alive – even when you are lying down, doing nothing. BMR accounts for approximately 60% of the calories burned for an average person.

Although the average person burns around 30% of calories through daily activity, many sedentary people only use around 15%. Simply being aware of this fact – and taking every opportunity to move can make quite a dramatic difference to the amount of calories you burn.

I hope this helps.

I still wish I could give you a solid, stress-relieving answer to your
question about how long it should take for your phentermine to
show results.

As I said in the post, I would think it could take up to 2 weeks or so.
