Phen for Morbidly Obese?

Do you think Phen is ok for someone who weights just over 200lbs and is 5'1? Do you think its bad for the heart? Has phen ever caused "death"? Heart failure or what not? Just curious.

I am 5'4 and currently weigh 241.6. I am considered Morbidly obese and my physician has prescribed Phen for me. It is working well for me.

I agree, Needtolose. I think phen will help tremendously with someone who is morbidly obese. I am not sure about Phen causing a death or not but if you check out the sight it will give you alot of info on phen including possible bad side effects. And of course with any medication there is always something that can happen-depending on each individual and the circumstance. I dont think there is anything without some chance of something bad happening.

I think Phen is a good tool, but it still requires that the person also use sensible eating and exercise to lose weight.

I think your mistaking the heart thing with fen-phen from years ago, back when they prescribed fenfluramine with phentermine

I was 220 at 5'3" when I got my 1st script

Some of your other medications may be effected by the Phen. Whuch is why I have to have my heart checked monthly.

I agree that you should talk to a physician before beginning anything.
